Need to ask a veterinarian. My toy poodle got attacked on yesterday and she got a really bad cut from one shoulder to the other. I have not finances to take her to the vet for stiches, so how will I help her too heal? Thank you and be Blessed.

Before you attempt to treat your dog at home, remember that any dog may bite anyone at any time, especially when they are in pain. Be safe - use a nylon dog muzzle, which you can buy from most pet stores.
The body can heal minor wounds on its own, with a little bit of help from you:
1) Trim the hair around the wound with electric clippers (if you use scissors, be careful not to cut the skin)
2) Clean the skin around the wound`s edges with mild soap & water
3) Gently flush the wound with saline solution only - do not use water, peroxide or full-strength disinfectant
4) Limit your dog`s activity until the wound appears completely healed
If the wound does not heal after following these steps, you must seek veterinary care!

Positive | I agree with the expert, since i took so long for me to get a response I took a chance and did pretty much what he said to do only I did use peroxide instead of saline solution. thank you
