I have a 5 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi that had a litter of 7 two years ago by C-section due to failure to advance to stage 2 and I was thinking of breeding her one more time. I assume she will need another c-section. What are the risks versus benefits of spaying at the same time. I am not a big fan of multiple anesthesias and would like to just go ahead and spay. She is in perfect health and recovered well from the last one. Thank you.

My red bone hound dog is acting very strange lately. She is very protective of her favorite stuffed animal lately to the point of violence and would be attack of our other animals if we didn`t hold her back. We live out in a wooded area and we have lots of wild life around us. We`re hoping she is not rabid. Can you tell me the symptoms and is it possible that she could be pregnant at 5 years old when she never has gotten pregnant in the past when we`ve tried to breed her with our older male red bone?

I have a 10mth old female chihuahua that is about 2.5pds and a 2yr old male chihuahua that is around 3pds. She went into heat and despite my tries to keep them from locking up the male managed to get thru the diaper I had on her. I took her to the vet and told the vet I was concerned due to her age. The vet was unable to determine for sure if she is pregnant but I have noticed her belly is more distended. I didn`t receive much advice from the vet if my female is pregnant except to ask if I have considered spaying her and that if it is done right away any puppies will be aborted at this time. I did say that her life is more important than that of the possible puppies. The vet also said that my female would need a c-section. How can she know this already? I am confused as to what I should do. Please someone help?

Want to ask a on line veterinarian. I have a 5 week Lhasa Apso puppy. I noticed she was having trouble walking. The other puppies are walking and doing fine. She showed signs of being a swimmer puppy. I have put her on rugs and rubber surfaces and she can walk. She still slides around on and goes backwards on slippery surfaces. She has shown improvement walking but now she walks in circles at times. I am really getting concerned and be having her looked at by the vet this week. Do you think she has a brain injury? She is eating but I hand feed her to make sure. Her weight seems okay. When mom comes in she seems to get left

My 15 yr old male cat within the last 4 days stopped eating, drinking water, and only urinating also seems lethargic. Finally today very small amount of hard stool. He has little vet history. Indoor cat only. Cat has some past history blood in stool,no other problems. In the last couple of months he started wanting to drink water from the sink all the time. cat is not over wieght but does get small amount of people food sometimes. I recently read on line and talked to owners about Dibetes, Thyroid, and maybe constipation. I`m sure he could use some blood work. Thanks a bunch

my 15 week old puppy was out this mornin and stared limpin on his left leg i can feel his paw leg joints shoulder he does not flinch just under the shoulder on his chest like his armpit if u no what im gettin at if u touch it there some times he has a little yelt hes able t walk on it now just has a slight limp any advice

i took in an emaciated pregnant cat. she has had 7 kittens now 3 wks old. she is not a good mum and does not nurse well or spend time with them. i am bottle feeding them as supplement. she eats huge amounts of food, doesn`t drink much, is still emaciated, has huge pees which seem to be quite sticky and she seems quite dim although very sweet. she loves her babies but seems more focused on food and herself than on them. what should i be asking my vet about..diabetes maybe
